The undertones of the lipstick and/or your natural lip coloring. I have seen the same red lipstick color turn orange on some people and purple on others!
When doing your make up apply some foundation and powder to your lips then when you are ready to put on your lips stick your natural color wont come through and ruin it...Also it might be lighting/flash from the camera! :)

you can get 'orange' and 'blue' undertoned red lipstick shades, yours must be an orange
It has to do with your skin coloring. Also the lighting when you are taking pictures can make the lipstick look orange.
