I used to have this amazing revlon true deep red metallic /velvet like lipstick,this was about 10 years ago so no luck in getting it again, does anyone know of a good alternative? Try Long Last soft matte by Clinique in Vintage Wine...it is a matte, but very velvety and you could use a sheer metallic finish lipstick or a very sparkly gloss like their WhisperLooking for a dark red/true blue red lipstick in a velvet.metallic finish?
Estee Lauder is famous for its classic shades. Some time ago they had a color that I bought numerous tubes of called Velvet Kiss. It was the truest blue/red I have ever had and it was long lasting...I would wear it alone for a matte finish or I would pair it with a clear lip gloss for a beautiful shine. Lancome also had a long wearing lip color/ gloss combo that was just like it and it was great. It had a bit of sparkle in the gloss.
