When can you wear bright lipstick?

Some general rules of thumb are lights and neutrals are known as daytime shades, and brights and darks are evening shades.





Another general rule of thumb is that if you play up your eyes, tone done the rest of your face with neutral colors, and vice versa. I think that red lipstick needs some balance, so I never wear red without eyeliner and mascara, but I will only use a neutral matte shadow.

Dont wear bright lipstick if your going no where. Only where it when your going out or your dressed up.....
Dark red lipstick is in my opinion extremely underated. For years it has helped women feel strong, powerful, and on top of the world. However, there are times that this statement is a bit crass. Only wear it at night with dark colors like black or red and never wear it with pastels:)
Wear a bold lipstick with subtle eyes and cheeks. NEVER use bold colors on more than one area at a time...you will look like a ho.





If you are wearing bold lips, do a VERY subtle black eyeliner with a soft wash of a neutral taupe eye shadow then a neutral subtle blush.
No one should ever wear bright pink lipstick. Try a softer pastel pink and you'll get better effects
